Chelsea are reportedly considering a loan move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to journalist Simon Phillips. The 20-year-old Argentine, who recorded 11 goals and nine assists during the 2024/25 season, is gaining interest as the Blues look to bolster their attacking options.
Garnacho, primarily a left winger who can also play centrally, is seen as a potential upgrade over underperformers like Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk. Chelsea recently concluded a loan deal with United for Jadon Sancho and may be exploring a similar approach with Garnacho.
“There is a belief that a couple wingers could arrive still,” Phillips wrote. “The Alejandro Garnacho noise just will not go away.”
According to Phillips, Chelsea have discussed a loan-to-buy arrangement, which could be structured similarly to Sancho’s deal. However, he cautioned that nothing is confirmed: “It is something that has been discussed internally at Chelsea should they decide to go for Garnacho.”
