A DSS witness has told a Federal High Court how IPOB members allegedly killed Ahmad Gulak and used human heads for rituals.
A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Wednesday, heard how Ahmad Gulak, former presidential aide, was murdered in Imo State by alleged IPOB members.
A Department of State Services (DSS) official testified that Gulak was shot after failing to speak Igbo at an IPOB checkpoint, revealing a Muslim prayer mark on his forehead.
The witness also alleged that IPOB’s armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), killed between 170 and 200 security agents in the South-East.
He claimed an ESN commander confessed to using human heads for charms and said only 30 of the 2,000 heads intended for burying a slain member, Ikonso, were obtained.
The DSS further told the court that IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu smuggled a German-made FM transmitter into Nigeria without NBC approval, using it to incite attacks.
“Wrong diagnosis will always lead to wrong treatment,” the witness said, insisting the violence was a coordinated campaign.
He added that police confirmed Gulak was killed while traveling in a hired cab near Owerri.
