North Korea accused Washington of “pushing the situation… to an uncontrollable catastrophic phase.”
SEOUL — North Korea on Thursday condemned Israel’s military strikes on Iran, labeling them a “crime against humanity” and warning that the attacks risk plunging the Middle East into a broader conflict.
In a statement published by KCNA, a spokesperson for Pyongyang’s Foreign Ministry expressed “serious concern” over Israel’s air raids on Iran’s civilian, nuclear, and energy infrastructure.
“The killing of civilians… is an unpardonable crime against humanity,” the statement read, accusing Israel of “state-sponsored terrorism.”
Pyongyang also warned the U.S. and European nations to avoid further intervention. “The present grave situation… proves that Israel, supported by the U.S. and the West, is a cancer-like entity for peace,” the ministry added.
The warning comes as U.S. President Donald Trump said his “patience had run out” with Iran. North Korea accused Washington of “pushing the situation… to an uncontrollable catastrophic phase.”
Trump reportedly approved attack plans on Iran but has yet to issue a final order.
