Tinubu condemns recent killings across Nigeria, urges security forces to crush Boko Haram.

President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to crush Boko Haram terrorists following a suicide bombing that killed over 20 people in Konduga, Borno State, on Friday.

In a statement on Sunday, Tinubu expressed grief over the attacks in Borno, Plateau, and Kano. “From the cowardly suicide bombing in Konduga… to the horrifying lynching of innocent travellers in Plateau… and the deadly explosion in Kano, these attacks… must not stand,” he said.

He described the Borno bombing as “a cruel attempt to spread fear” and urged security forces to “hunt down and rout the remnants of Boko Haram.”

Tinubu also condemned the killing of 12 wedding guests in Plateau, directing the police to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators. “These killings must not go unanswered,” he declared.

He urged the Plateau State government to act decisively.

Meanwhile, Labour Party’s Peter Obi also condemned the violence, saying, “Even hitherto peaceful areas have turned into killing fields… All hands must be on deck.”
