President Tinubu has unveiled a new agricultural mechanisation programme, promising to modernise farming and make it appealing to Nigerian youths.

President Bola Tinubu says his administration is delivering on its promise to transform Nigeria into a global agricultural powerhouse. Speaking in Abuja on Monday at the launch of the Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanisation Programme, Tinubu unveiled over 2,000 tractors, 50 bulldozers, 12 mobile workshops, and more than 9,000 tools.

“This will make farming easier, create jobs, and make it ‘sexier’ for our youths,” he said. Tinubu added that Nigeria is partnering with countries like Belarus to train young people in modern farming, machinery repair, and equipment production to equip them with valuable skills and ensure financial independence.
