I’m not here for a political campaign, but who is a politician that will keep quiet when gangsterism is coming with a coalition to unseat themselves?
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dismissed a newly formed coalition aiming to thwart his 2027 re-election bid as “politically displaced persons” (IDPs). Speaking in Lafia during the commissioning of legacy projects by Governor Abdullahi Sule, the President warned that the coalition’s efforts would fail. “Those who have triggered the politics with a coalition suddenly… they are political IDPs. Don’t give them room; the hope is here,” he said, urging supporters to ignore the group. He added, “I’m not here for a political campaign, but who is a politician that will keep quiet when gangsterism is coming with a coalition to unseat themselves?”
Tinubu also praised Governor Sule’s developmental strides, highlighting mechanisation in agriculture and improvements in rice production. He pledged ongoing federal support to add value to minerals and make farming profitable, especially for youth and women. Governor Sule thanked Tinubu, noting that infrastructure was delivered without borrowing, thanks to increased state revenue following fuel subsidy removal.
