Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has declared a “victory” over the United States following the recent military escalation in the region, accusing Washington of intervening to save Israel but failing to achieve its objectives.

“The Islamic Republic also triumphed here and delivered a harsh blow to America. My second congratulations go to our dear Iran for its victory over the American regime,” Khamenei stated in a national address.

He claimed the U.S. engaged in direct conflict due to fears that “the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed,” but said it “gained nothing from this war.”

Praising national unity, Khamenei added, “A nation of around 90 million stood united… supporting the armed forces.”

The remarks follow weeks of heightened tensions, with Iranian officials framing recent confrontations as a strategic win.

Analysts say the speech signals Tehran’s intent to position itself as regionally dominant amid international pressure and a shifting global order.
