Tamika Chesser, a former “Beauty and the Geek Australia” contestant, has been charged with murder after her partner’s dismembered body was found in South Australia.

Australian police have charged former reality TV contestant Tamika Chesser with murder following the discovery of her partner’s dismembered remains at a home in Port Lincoln, South Australia.

Police said 39-year-old Julian Story was killed around midnight on June 17, and his body was found severely burnt and headless after emergency services responded to a fire.

“Julian’s head had been removed during the dismemberment and, despite extensive searches, has not yet been located,” South Australia Police said.

Chesser, 34, appeared catatonic and unresponsive when found at the scene. CCTV of her movements was released as detectives appealed for public assistance to locate the missing body part.

“Recovering Julian’s head… so they can have a peaceful outcome… is a really important aspect for us,” said Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke.

Chesser, who featured on the 2010 season of Beauty and the Geek Australia, appeared in court via video and will return in December.

The victim’s family thanked authorities and the public for their support.
