A Nigerian businesswoman has gone viral after sharing a tearful video detailing how she was denied entry into the United States despite having a valid B1/B2 visa. According to her, she traveled to Texas for a trade fair but was detained and interrogated for 24 hours upon arrival.

“I was denied entrance into the US and that is because my visa [is] a B1–B2 visa which is [for] tourism/business meetings,” she explained in the emotional video recorded on her return flight to Nigeria.

She claimed that US immigration officers scrutinized her Instagram page and private customer messages. “Apparently, my Instagram says different. They even checked all my messages with my customers,” she said, suggesting the content of her social media led officials to challenge the purpose of her visit.

The incident has sparked discussions online about the risks of digital footprints in visa screenings and the growing role of social media in border decisions.
