President Tinubu has praised Wike’s leadership in transforming the FCT and recovering land from UNIABUJA, calling his projects symbols of unity and inclusion.

President Bola Tinubu has commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for his infrastructural strides, describing newly inaugurated projects as “bridges of inclusion, signals of recognition, instruments of national unity.”

Speaking at the commissioning of the access road to Giri District, represented by House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, Tinubu said Wike had effectively localised the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Meanwhile, Wike revealed that the road project helped halt land encroachment by the University of Abuja, reclaiming 7,000 out of 11,000 hectares allegedly taken by the institution.

“This road has helped us to stop the land grabbing by the university,” he stated.

Also speaking at the event, EFCC Secretary Mohammed Hammajoda said the road now enables work to begin on the new EFCC Academy in Giri.

“With this infrastructure, the development of this academy can now proceed,” he said.

Wike assured residents that further development of Giri District is underway, promising more roads and infrastructure in the coming year.
