Charly Boy mocks coalition to oust Tinubu: “old wolves in new agbada”

Are they fighting for you, or fighting to sit where their enemies used to sit?

Popular activist and singer Charles “Charly Boy” Oputa has dismissed the newly formed opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which aims to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. This coalition, comprising figures from the PDP, Labour Party, SDP, and dissenters from the APC, is led by former Senate President David Mark.

In a Thursday Facebook post, Charly Boy wrote:

“Sometimes, it’s just old wolves in new agbada. Are they fighting for you, or fighting to sit where their enemies used to sit?”

He criticized the alliance as self-serving, saying:

“We don’t just need new names. We need new values, new visions, and people with the guts to live by them. 2027 is not about revenge. It’s about rescue.”

Charly Boy argued that the coalition comprises the same leaders who contributed to Nigeria’s problems and questioned their sincerity and vision.
