“Somebody must come out and revoke all these lands that were illegally given. We can’t continue to allow this corruption to go on,” Yesufu said in a YouTube video. “We are not slaves in this country.”
Activist Aisha Yesufu has called on the federal government to revoke lands allegedly allocated by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to his children in Abuja.
Referencing an investigative report by Peoples Gazette, Yesufu decried what she described as “mindless corruption” in the land allocation process. The report, backed by documents, accused Mr Wike of assigning valuable parcels in Abuja to his sons, Jordan and Joaquin, violating public office ethics.
“Somebody must come out and revoke all these lands that were illegally given. We can’t continue to allow this corruption to go on,” Yesufu said in a YouTube video. “We are not slaves in this country.”
According to the report, Wike allegedly acquired over 1,700 hectares worth $2.85 billion, including lands confiscated from original owners under questionable land-use enforcement.
The activist urged immediate action to reverse what she called a misuse of public office for personal gain.
