Family appeals for ₦19m to save boy with advanced kidney disease

Daniel Paul, father of 10-year-old David battling advanced chronic kidney disease, has appealed to kind-hearted Nigerians to help raise ₦19 million for his son’s life-saving kidney transplant.

Paul, a teacher, told PUNCH Online: “We have spent all our meagre earnings, borrowed from friends, neighbours and church brethren but the situation has increased to what it is now: Stage 4 CKD, TB, Heart Failure and BP.”

David requires twice-daily dialysis costing ₦160,000 weekly and an urgent transplant estimated at ₦19 million locally.

“We are completely depleted financially and don’t know what else to do to save the boy. Please, we need help from philanthropic Nigerians,” Paul added.

A nurse described the boy’s condition as “very pitiable,” underscoring the urgency of the appeal.
