A Lagos coroner has ordered the prosecution of the auxiliary nurse linked to Mohbad’s death and called for an investigation into police inaction on his prior petition.
The Lagos State Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu has ordered the prosecution of Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who allegedly administered the injection that led to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
Magistrate C.A. Shotobi ruled that Ogedengbe was not licensed to practice medicine and acted unlawfully by administering the tetanus shot linked to the singer’s death.
The coroner also raised concerns about lapses in health sector regulation and directed a probe into the Nigeria Police’s failure to act on a petition Mohbad filed before his death.
Authorities have been urged to investigate potential official negligence.
