Police in Ondo State have arrested five suspects, including the landlord of one victim, for the abduction, rape, and murder of two Adekunle Ajasin University undergraduates, Abah John Friday, 25, and Okah Andrel Eloho, 19, who went missing on June 20.
State Commissioner Adebowale Lawal detailed the arrest: “Forensic tracking led investigators to Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, where an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to one of the victims was recovered from Abdul Mohammed Mubarak, 38.” Mubarak implicated Ojo Michael, arrested later in Aramoko‑Ekiti, and landlord Oladele Femi, as the masterminds .
Lawal added, “Michael also admitted to raping the female victim. Upon recognizing him … she was executed along with her friend to prevent them from exposing the perpetrators.” Their bodies were left separately between Agbado and Ode‑Ekiti. Investigators have recovered the female victim’s remains and continue to search for the male victim, suspected dumped in a river.
The police vowed to apprehend the remaining suspect and ensure all involved face justice .
