New documents claim Obama admin faked intel to fuel Russia collusion narrative

Newly declassified documents shared by former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard suggest that the Obama administration relied on intelligence assessments in late 2016 that indicated Russian and criminal actors did not affect the outcome of the U.S. election through cyber activities.

A presidential briefing from December 8, 2016 reportedly stated: “We assess that Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent U.S. election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.”

Following this, intelligence reports were reportedly shared with the media, contributing to public discourse around alleged Russian interference and collusion during the 2016 election.
