“Before, she would tell everybody that she was waiting for Donald Trump to be reelected and become president, that things were going to be different then.”
Behind the fences of FCI Tallahassee, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell remains fixated on freedom — and the possibility, however slim, that Donald Trump might still come to her aid.
“Max was very into her appeal,” a jailhouse source told The Post. “Before, she would tell everybody that she was waiting for Donald Trump to be reelected and become president, that things were going to be different then.”
Now 63, Maxwell has served three years of her 20-year sentence for grooming underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein. She speaks to her lawyers daily and is constantly seen scribbling in a journal. “She documents absolutely everything, and she carries it with her,” the source said.
Her legal team has petitioned the Supreme Court, but Trump’s Justice Department defended her prosecution this week. “There have been no discussions or consideration of a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, and there never will be,” a senior White House official told The Post.
Maxwell maintains a strict routine in prison — working in the law library, teaching business classes, and doing yoga — but is wary of her environment. “She won’t shower unless there are others around. She’s very aware of her safety,” the source added.
Her brother, Ian Maxwell, remains hopeful: “My sister is innocent and will be released someday.”
Still, her notoriety and the weight of Epstein’s shadow follow her. “She’s no wallflower,” the source said. “If someone came for her, she’d go right back at them.”
