A woman who once worked for Jeffrey Epstein says she warned the FBI in 1996 and 2006 about Donald J. Trump’s closeness to the late financier, adding to speculation that the former president could appear in sealed Epstein investigation files.
Maria Farmer, who has publicly accused Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sexual assault, told The New York Times that she urged law enforcement to scrutinize figures in Epstein’s orbit — including Trump — as early as the mid-1990s.
“I told them to look into Trump,” Farmer said, adding that she had “no evidence of criminal wrongdoing” by the former president but was alarmed by the company Epstein kept.
Farmer recalled a 1995 encounter in Epstein’s Manhattan office, where Trump allegedly hovered over her, stared at her legs, and remarked she looked “16 years old.” She said Epstein interjected, telling Trump, “No, no. She’s not here for you.”
The White House denied the account. “The president was never in his office,” said Communications Director Steven Cheung. “He kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep.”
Farmer’s warnings to law enforcement, and the FBI’s unclear follow-up, raise fresh questions about what may lie in the unreleased Epstein files.
While Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing, his connection to Epstein — including flight logs and party footage — continues to draw public scrutiny.
