President Donald Trump met privately with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos at the White House last week, CNBC reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The meeting, which lasted over an hour, took place amid signs of a growing rapport between the two powerful figures.

Amazon declined to comment on the encounter, and Bezos’ spokesperson did not immediately respond. The purpose and full details of the meeting remain unclear.

According to flight data tracked by programmer Jack Sweeney, a Gulfstream G700 linked to Bezos landed in Dulles, Virginia, on July 14 and departed the next day.

Bezos, who also owns Blue Origin, has reportedly drawn closer to Trump during his second term. Their relationship had been tense during Trump’s first term, largely over Bezos’ ownership of The Washington Post.

Recently, Bezos has sought to strengthen ties with the administration following Trump’s fallout with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Bezos’ chief rival in the space sector. Conversations reportedly included government contracts.
