Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Igboho has returned to Nigeria from Germany and appealed to the Tinubu-led government to remove his name from the security watchlist.
Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has returned to Nigeria from Germany and appealed to the Federal Government to delist him from watch-listed persons.
Igboho, who fled Nigeria after a DSS raid on his Ibadan home in July 2021, was received amid cheers by Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC), Agbekoya Vigilante Group, and Ifelodun Security Network.
Speaking during a visit to the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, Oba Francis Alao, he said:
“What have I done to justify my being declared wanted by the Buhari administration? I am not a criminal and should not be treated as such.”
He lamented that being watchlisted had denied him access to his passport and bank accounts.
“I am tired of staying in exile,” he told reporters.
Oba Alao endorsed him for a security role, saying:
“I will formally recommend him to the governors and President Tinubu within 48 hours.”
