Iran warns of potential full-scale war with Israel in latest escalation

Iran has warned of a possible renewed military strike on Israel, with President Pezeshkian saying the ceasefire may not hold. Israel’s defence minister also warned of resuming war.

Iran has issued a fresh warning of possible full-scale war with Israel, vowing readiness for another “deep strike” amid continued commitment to its nuclear programme.

President Masoud Pezeshkian said: “We are fully prepared for any new Israeli military move, and our armed forces are ready to strike deep inside Israel again. We do not rely on the recent ceasefire, and we are not very optimistic about it.”

The warning comes as Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz declared: “There is a possibility of renewing the war against Iran. It is essential to formulate a plan that ensures Iran does not return to its nuclear and missile projects.”

This follows last month’s 12-day conflict, in which Israel and the U.S. launched airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities. Despite heavy casualties, Iran’s president claimed only one of three sites was destroyed, dismissing U.S. victory claims.

Pezeshkian insisted: “Our nuclear capabilities are in the minds of our scientists… not in the facilities,” reaffirming Iran’s diplomatic stance but rejecting threats.
