A Lagos man’s life has spiralled into turmoil following a shocking discovery involving his boss, his wife, and her family.
The man, who worked for nearly five years as a personal driver to his boss — referred to only as “Chairman” — shared a deeply personal and disturbing account of betrayal, guilt, and confusion.
His ordeal began after he was caught stealing as a young, desperate man. Instead of punishing him, Chairman offered him a job, a second chance that sparked fierce loyalty.
“I was loyal. Fiercely so,” the driver said.
That loyalty was tested years later, after marrying the daughter of Chairman’s long-time mistress, Alhaja. The marriage, which started as a reconnection with a former schoolmate, turned sour after a drunken joke from a colleague hinted at infidelity.
“The baby will have Chairman’s head. The rest of the body will be yours,” the colleague said.
