Bolaji Abdullahi, spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has warned that Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cannot afford to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Monday, Abdullahi emphasized Obi’s involvement in the ADC-led coalition, dismissing any speculation of a return to the PDP.
“Let me say clearly, Peter Obi is in the coalition,” he stated. “Regardless of what anybody is saying. But it is good to see that it has taken the coming on board of ADC to get PDP to begin to make some movements.”
He argued that the PDP has lost its political edge. “But everyone knows the jugular of the PDP is in the hands of the ruling party,” he said.
“Peter Obi, more than anyone else, knows that he cannot take the risk of going to the PDP,” Abdullahi added.
