Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu is scheduled to travel to Italy to seal the deal and return with the Nigerian forward.
Victor Osimhen is expected in Istanbul this week as Galatasaray finalise his €75m move from Napoli, with a grand unveiling planned during the Turkish side’s home clash against Lazio on August 2.
According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu is scheduled to travel to Italy to seal the deal and return with the Nigerian forward.
The Yellow-Reds will pay Napoli €40m upfront, with the remaining €35m due by 2026. Osimhen, 26, is set to earn €16m annually.
Last season, the striker scored 37 goals and registered eight assists in 41 matches.
Reflecting on his humble beginnings in Lagos, Osimhen said, “Seven children, my mum, and my dad all lived in a single room… Most people who know me know that I would have succeeded even without football.”
He recalled temporarily quitting football to take odd jobs. “For a few years, I had to quit football and take jobs like carrying water,” he added.
Despite his stardom, Osimhen admitted, “Fame is boring… Sometimes you want to go outside, and you cannot do a lot of things.”
