Pay international tuition fees directly from your Naira account,” GTBank stated in a notice.
Nigerian students can now pay foreign tuition fees using naira cards, following the resumption of transactions through the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) Form A portal. This development comes after improved foreign exchange (FX) liquidity in the country.
The Form A platform allows Nigerians to pay for eligible services—such as school fees, medical bills, and training—at the official exchange rate. GTBank informed customers that payments for bachelor’s and postgraduate programmes abroad can now be processed directly from naira accounts.
“Pay international tuition fees directly from your Naira account,” GTBank stated in a notice.
Customers must register at www.tradesystem.gov.ng, select “Form A application for Educational Fees,” choose GTBank or Lotus Bank, attach required documents, and submit their application.
Lotus Bank also issued a similar advisory to its customers.
This policy update follows the June 2025 announcement by commercial banks allowing international transactions on naira cards. In 2022, forex scarcity had extended Form A tuition payments to 120 days.
