WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Kamala Harris has announced the release of a memoir titled “107 Days”, chronicling what she calls “the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

In a video released Wednesday, Harris said the book will provide a “behind-the-scenes” look at her failed 2024 presidential bid and the lessons she took from it.

“I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward,” Harris said. “Sometimes the fight takes a while, but I remain full of hope and I remain clear-eyed.”

The announcement came just a day after Harris ruled out a run for California governor.

CNN previously reported that the upcoming book release, scheduled for September 23, factored into her decision not to enter the race.

Published by Simon & Schuster, it remains unclear how much Harris was paid for the memoir, which offers her personal perspective on the 2024 campaign’s collapse.
