Raheem Sterling and eight other players have been excluded from Chelsea’s 31-man squad for the 2025/26 season, signalling a major summer clear-out under Enzo Maresca.
Raheem Sterling has been excluded from Chelsea’s 31-man squad for the 2025/26 Premier League season, joining eight other players the club is actively looking to offload.
Sterling, who returned from a loan spell at Arsenal, appears to have no place in new manager Enzo Maresca’s plans. Napoli, Fulham, and Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly monitoring his situation.
Chelsea’s official website shows the updated list, notably excluding several high-profile names.
“Sterling’s omission reflects Maresca’s vision for a leaner, more competitive squad,” a source close to the club said.
Players omitted from Chelsea’s 2025/26 first-team squad:
- Raheem Sterling
- Ben Chilwell
- Axel Disasi
- Renato Veiga
- Alfie Gilchrist
- Carney Chukwuemeka
- Lesley Ugochukwu
- Armando Broja
- David Datro Fofana
