WAEC hereby informs the general public that the result checker portal @waecdirect.org is temporarily shut down due to technical issues
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has temporarily suspended access to the 2025 WASSCE results following technical glitches affecting its result‑checker portal. The outage was confirmed Wednesday evening via the council’s official X account, which stated: “WAEC hereby informs the general public that the result checker portal @waecdirect.org is temporarily shut down due to technical issues.”
In the same post, WAEC assured that it is working “assiduously to ensure that candidates are able to access their results in the next 24 hours,” adding, “We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused you.”
The abrupt shutdown has sparked frustration among numerous candidates who were eagerly awaiting to check their performance, particularly in a season marked by anxious anticipation. While WAEC has not detailed the specific technical faults, the promise of a speedy restoration aims to allay growing concerns.
As the council works to restore functionality, candidates are advised to remain patient and retry later. WAEC has pledged transparency and urgency in resolving the issue, urging the public to bear with them during this brief disruption.
