The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) says the fate of fuji star Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM1, over his recent altercation at Abuja airport will be decided by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

This follows KWAM1’s public apology for the August 5 incident involving ValueJet officials at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
In a viral video, the singer appeared to obstruct a plane’s take-off, prompting a six-month flying ban from the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, and a petition to security authorities.
In his apology, KWAM1 called the incident “unfortunate” and denied carrying alcohol, explaining that his water flask was filled at the lounge to address chronic dehydration. “I would never… knowingly act in a way that could diminish the reputation of the country I love so dearly,” he said.
Keyamo confirmed seeing the apology but said deliberations are pending. Police and AGF responses were unavailable at press time.
The incident drew widespread criticism and has sparked debates on aviation security and celebrity conduct.
