Former Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has dismissed claims linking him to the African Democratic Congress coalition, insisting he remains a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress.
In a Sunday statement, Head of Fayemi Media Office, Ahmad Sajoh, refuted a viral claim allegedly made by former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, that Fayemi co-founded the ADC coalition.
“Despite efforts to verify this statement… we have found no credible evidence to support it,” Sajoh said, noting no reputable reports or videos confirm the claim.
He described the allegation as possibly fabricated to “cause controversies” and urged the public to treat social media reports about Fayemi with caution.
Sajoh stressed Fayemi’s continued support for Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, ahead of the next APC gubernatorial election, adding, “If he were to leave the APC, he would make it public.”
