The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) says it has received 1.9 million applications nationwide for 30,000 job openings in its latest recruitment exercise.
According to CDCFIB, Kogi, Kaduna, Benue, and Katsina recorded the highest number of applicants.
The exercise — covering NSCDC, NCoS, NIS, and FFS — was open to Nigerians aged 18–35, with minimum SSCE qualifications and meeting physical fitness requirements.
Following repeated technical delays, the portal finally closed on August 11, 2025.

Katsina – 76,901
Kano – 89,409
Available positions included:
NSCDC: Assistant Inspector, Corps Assistant II/III
NCoS: Superintendent of Corrections, Correctional Assistant
NIS: Immigration Assistant, ASI II
FFS: Fire Assistant II/III, ASF I/II
CDCFIB said shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email, text, and official platforms.
