“The law will take its course,” says government source on ex-governor’s sealed properties.

The Ogun State Government has sealed the mansion and hotel belonging to former governor, Senator Gbenga Daniel, ahead of a planned demolition.

The properties, located in Sagamu, were sealed on Monday on the orders of Governor Dapo Abiodun, according to sources within the state government. Security operatives were seen at both sites to prevent entry.

Although the state government has yet to issue an official statement, a senior official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “The law will take its course; all structures marked for demolition must comply with planning regulations.”

It was gathered that the properties were among several buildings recently flagged by the Ogun State Physical Planning Authority for alleged violation of building codes.

Efforts to reach Senator Daniel for comments were unsuccessful as of press time. The development is the latest in a series of property enforcement actions taken by the Abiodun administration across the state.
