Deeper Christian Life Ministry founder, Pastor William Kumuyi, has dismissed calls for him to name a successor, insisting the decision rests solely with God. Speaking during a recent Bible study, the 83-year-old General Superintendent asked, “Are you tired of me?” drawing a loud “No” from the congregation. He warned that leadership transition should not be forced and vowed not to yield to pressure from church members, staff, or even family.
Kumuyi urged members to focus on their spiritual mission rather than leadership politics, declaring, “God will give a successor at His own time.” He also cautioned against attempts to influence his ministry decisions, stating, “Anyone trying to control me, I will not take it; not even from my wife.”
