Police yet to apprehend the suspect as investigation continues
A man identified as Emem has allegedly raped and murdered his mother in Agbarho community, Ughelli North LGA. The incident occurred around 10:00 pm on Thursday at Eferemor Street.
The victim’s younger son reportedly discovered her lifeless body, naked and with semen traces, suggesting sexual assault before death.
Sources reveal the suspect had previously exhibited erratic behavior, including stripping naked and demanding sex with his mother.
Delta State Police Spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, did not respond to inquiries. The victim’s remains have been deposited at a local morgue. Investigations are ongoing.
