Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Wednesday night that “Crystal Palace accept tonight £60m package from Arsenal for Eberechi Eze, agreement club to club done. Arsenal finalising contract terms with Eze with player keen on joining AFC project.”
The Gunners moved swiftly for reinforcements following Kai Havertz’s injury and offered Palace improved payment terms to outbid Spurs. David Ornstein of The Athletic reported that Eze preferred a switch to the Emirates, though he will feature for Palace in their Europa Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad on Thursday before undergoing a medical with Arsenal.
Manager Oliver Glasner said ahead of the match: “They will play a crucial part for as long as they are here. If they leave, they want to leave as the guys who gave 100 per cent to Crystal Palace.”
Arsenal must register Eze by Friday noon for him to face Leeds United this weekend.
