Rapper Lil Nas X was arrested and hospitalized early Thursday morning in Los Angeles after being found wandering naked and charging at police, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that officers responded to Ventura Boulevard just before 6 a.m. following calls about a nearly nude man. “He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for Battery on a Police Officer,” police said.
A law enforcement source confirmed the man was Montero Lamar Hill, known professionally as Lil Nas X. Hill allegedly punched an officer twice in the face during the confrontation. Officers were uncertain if he was under the influence or experiencing mental distress.
TMZ footage showed Hill walking in white briefs and cowboy boots, at times posing like on a catwalk, inviting a driver to “come to the party” and later placing a traffic cone on his head. His representatives have not commented.
