Abuja-Kaduna train accident leaves six injured, says NSIB

NSIB has launched a probe into the Abuja-Kaduna train accident that injured six passengers.

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has confirmed that six people sustained injuries in the Abuja-Kaduna train accident on Tuesday morning.

NSIB spokesperson, Mrs. Bimbo Oladeji, said a “go-team” has been deployed to the site to gather evidence and begin investigations.

The bureau expressed sympathy to the injured and assured that findings would lead to safety recommendations. Director General of NSIB, Captain Alex Badeh Jr., stated: “Our commitment is to ensure safer rail transport for Nigerians through a transparent and independent investigation.”

He added that investigators are working to identify immediate and underlying causes of the derailment, promising timely updates as the probe continues.
