Nigeria currently has direct flights to 30 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, with Brazil set to become the 31st destination.

Nigeria currently offers direct flights to 30 countries across four continents, with a new route to Brazil set to commence following a Bilateral Air Service Agreement signed during President Bola Tinubu’s recent state visit to Brasília.

According to aviation data compiled by Statisense from FlightConnections, five international airports—Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu—handle these services, with Lagos and Abuja managing the bulk of intercontinental traffic.

The network, serviced by 38 airlines including Air Peace, Ibom Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Qatar Airways, British Airways and Emirates, covers 56 airports. The longest current non-stop route is Lagos–Atlanta, spanning 5,835 miles in nearly 12 hours.

Seasonal services also operate from 14 additional Nigerian airports. With Brazil’s inclusion, Nigeria’s direct flight network will expand to 31 countries, reinforcing its role as West Africa’s key aviation hub.
