Ojulari said NNPC is under attack but vowed not to succumb to pressure, stressing that transformation comes at a price.
Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., Bayo Ojulari, says the company is “under attack” from those opposed to its transformation agenda.
Ojulari disclosed this in Abuja while hosting the Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) delegation.
“We are under attack. We will not budge to short-term pressure, as it will not be in the best interest of Nigerians. You cannot drive change without a price, and the transformation is tough,” he said.
Ojulari stressed that NNPC remains focused on reviving refineries through sustainable measures under an Incorporated Joint Venture model, rather than a quick fix.
He assured that President Bola Tinubu supports the reforms without undue pressure.
PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo commended the NNPC team for progress in curbing crude oil theft and improving production, pledging continued support.
“The enemies of this company and Nigerians will not win,” Ojulari added.
