Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday surprised a roadside puff-puff seller during a solidarity rally in Osogbo by purchasing all her snacks with ₦50,000 and offering her employment as a chef at the Government House.
The rally, tagged an appreciation march by public servants, drew thousands of workers in support of the governor’s policies. In a viral video, Adeleke, seated in a bus, beckoned the vendor and asked the cost of her snacks before handing her ₦50,000 cash to cheers from the crowd. Excited onlookers quickly shared the snacks he bought.
The governor later invited the woman into his vehicle, where she revealed she held a Nigerian Certificate in Education. Adeleke asked about her cooking skills and directed aides to take her details for employment.
Osun officials, including Commissioner II Olaniyan Taofeek and Special Assistant Oni Gbenga Lawrence, confirmed the development in posts on X, describing it as life-changing.
