Tulsi Gabbard calls Jen Psaki ‘agent of darkness and hatred’ for suggesting prayer alone won’t solve gun crime epidemic
Former U.S. Congresswoman and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has sharply criticized MSNBC host Jen Psaki, accusing her of harboring a “hatred of God” after Psaki said prayer alone cannot solve America’s gun violence crisis. Psaki’s viral post declared, “Prayer is not freaking enough,” insisting that “prayers do not end school shootings… Prayer does not bring these kids back.”
Gabbard responded, “Their response is rooted in their hatred of God… They are agents of darkness and hatred, and the light of God’s love is a threat to their dark ambitions.” She also denounced transgender rights as “insanity and darkness,” invoking Martin Luther King Jr.’s words on love overcoming hate.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Vice President JD Vance echoed criticism of Psaki, defending the power of prayer. Psaki countered on her show, arguing leaders must enact “sensible gun safety measures.” The debate follows the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting, which left two children dead and 18 others injured.
