Ex-APC senator Kabiru Marafa has vowed to strip President Tinubu of one million votes in the 2027 elections, citing disenchantment with his leadership

Former Zamfara Central Senator Kabiru Marafa has vowed to reduce President Bola Tinubu’s votes by one million in the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Marafa, who recently resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), accused the President of a “use-and-dump” approach.

“I’m going to assure you something today. I’m going to deduct one million out of Mr. President’s votes that he got in 2023. Mark my words. I’m going to do it. I would work for it and by the special grace of God, I’m going to win that,” Marafa said.

The former lawmaker, who coordinated Tinubu’s campaign in Zamfara in 2023, argued that growing disenchantment with APC’s leadership has united major politicians in the state against the party. He accused Tinubu of entrenching the same reward system he once promised to reform, warning that 2027 would prove who truly holds political weight.
