President Tinubu has reinstated NTA Director-General Salihu Dembos and Executive Director of News Ayo Adewuyi, nullifying recent management changes at the agency.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

The order was announced on Tuesday in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy. He explained that Dembos, who temporarily vacated office after recent management changes, was originally appointed in October 2023 and will now continue his three-year tenure.

Also reinstated is Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, Executive Director of News, who was appointed in 2024 and will serve out his tenure until 2027.

Onanuga clarified that the directive nullifies earlier appointments of a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.

The decision restores continuity at the state broadcaster as Tinubu reaffirms his confidence in the existing leadership.
