Trump questioned Russia’s actions after drones entered Polish territory, saying: “Here we go!”
Donald Trump has broken his silence following Russia’s drone strike on Poland, which triggered NATO’s first-ever direct military engagement with Moscow.
“What’s with Russia violating Poland’s airspace with drones? Here we go!” the US president wrote on his social media platform.
Poland confirmed that four of 19 drones were downed overnight by Polish, Dutch and Italian fighter jets. NATO’s ambassador in Washington stressed the alliance would defend “every inch of Nato territory.”
Moscow denied deliberately targeting Poland, but European leaders accused Russia of testing the alliance’s response.
The incident has intensified debate over establishing a “drone wall” along NATO’s eastern flank to protect against future cross-border threats.
