Houthis say nine killed and more than 100 wounded after Israeli strikes on Sanaa and Jawf.
At least nine people have been killed and more than 100 wounded in Israeli strikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and Jawf province, according to the Houthis.
“The death toll has reached nine martyrs and 118 wounded in a preliminary tally,” Houthi health ministry spokesperson Anees Alasbahi wrote on X. Civil defence teams were still searching for the missing.
Residents reported plumes of smoke and loud explosions across Sanaa, which has been under Houthi control for over a decade.
The Israeli military confirmed the strikes, saying its air force hit “military camps, public relations headquarters and a fuel facility” linked to the Houthis. The group claimed it was responding with air defences.
