Senator Titus Zam has admonished Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in a WhatsApp group, urging her to “calm down” amid her clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Senator Titus Zam of Benue North-West has confronted Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central in the Northern Senators Forum WhatsApp group, accusing her of seeking “needless publicity” amid her ongoing clash with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

According to Sahara Reporters, Zam told Akpoti-Uduaghan, “Why do you wish to be in the news for the wrong reason? I thought by now you would be sober and engaging instead of resorting to needless altercations with the system. Recall that the Senate president administered the oath of office to you as the head of the institution you belong to. Calm down; you can’t subdue this institution.”

Zam urged his colleague to adopt a more measured and constructive approach rather than fueling fresh disputes.

Akpoti-Uduaghan’s six-month suspension, which began in March, technically lapsed this month.

However, a September 4 letter signed by Acting Clerk Dr. Yahaya Danzaria clarified that her reinstatement remains sub judice until court proceedings are concluded.
