Bwala: “Peter Obi said his family will die if he dumps APGA”

Presidential aide Daniel Bwala accused Peter Obi of serial party defections, recalling Obi once vowed his family would die if he left APGA.

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has criticized former presidential candidate Peter Obi for repeatedly switching political parties.

Speaking on a podcast with Nedu WAZOBIA, Bwala claimed most Nigerian politicians have changed parties at least three times. “99.9 percent of the political actors in Nigeria today have changed parties three times minimum. My father will say, beat them first before you ask them questions,” he said.

Bwala recounted that Obi left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite once declaring “his family will die” if he abandoned APGA. He noted that Obi later defected from PDP to the Labour Party, where he criticized PDP as a “structure of criminality.”

Bwala further alleged Obi’s philanthropy was limited, stating, “Peter Obi has never given beyond N50 million,” and mocked a borehole project he funded as substandard.
