“Accidents like this happen in Canada, the US, and Europe,” Omokri stressed after being delayed abroad.

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has urged Nigerians to stop blaming government agencies for every train accident, noting that such incidents occur worldwide.

Omokri, in a video shared on his X handle on Tuesday, narrated how he was delayed for over an hour abroad after his train was halted following a collision between another train and a car.

“Now here’s the thing, I’m on this train, I’m going to the airport and guess what? The train has stopped because another train in front hit a car,” he said.

Omokri explained that similar incidents happen in developed countries. “If this were to be Nigeria, for example, you guys would complain… The thing is, accidents like this happen all the time. They happen in Canada, they happen in the United States, they happen in Europe,” he noted.

He later shared footage of the damaged vehicle, adding, “That’s the vehicle that just got hit by the train. It finally took it off.”
