Media personality Charly Boy on Friday recounted a surprise early-morning visit from former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing it as a touching reminder of life’s simple joys.
In a social media post, Charly Boy said Obi phoned him around midnight to announce a 5:30 a.m. call. True to his word, Obi arrived before 6 a.m. carrying a large “Ghana must go” bag. The entertainer recalled, “As I come downstairs to meet him, na so I see one big Ghana Must Go by the entrance of my sitting room.”
Inside, he discovered roasted groundnuts, alligator pepper, kolanuts, pawpaw, oranges, agara, mangoes and bananas—items Obi personally packed. When Charly Boy thanked him, Obi replied, “Senior, I no fit give you money, but I fit give you this one, na my hand pick.”
Charly Boy said the gesture filled him with laughter and gratitude, adding that “sometimes na the little things go remind you say life no too hard,” as he wished his followers a happy weekend.
