Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has accused the Ooni of Ife of plotting to destroy him by allegedly planting his former wife to spy on and kill him.
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has launched a fresh attack on the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, alleging that the Ife monarch planted his former wife to entrap him.
Reacting to reports of his suspension by the Ooni in a viral Instagram video, the Oluwo claimed he was responsible for helping Ogunwusi ascend the throne but said the Ooni later turned against him.
He alleged that his estranged Canadian wife, Chanel Chin, was “packaged” and sent to him as part of a plot to kill him. “This supposed wife was an agent of death sent to my house… She poisoned me two times,” he claimed.
Accusing the Ooni of accommodating Ms Chin after their separation, he asked, “What is Ooni of Ife doing with my ex-wife in the hotel?”
Declaring that their rift “cannot be resolved,” the Oluwo maintained that no paramount ruler had the authority to suspend another.
